Spadina

Wind winds through the city streets
Whines lilting through the barren trees
Offshore of Lake Ontario
Tossed roughly with white caps and snow

Black clad people lean a hair
Into the unremitting air
As a streetcar clatters down
The greater streets in Chinatown

Neon lights turn snow to pinks
And greens and blues through spastic blinks
A houseless man and dog forlorn
In T-dot in the wintry morn
